Welcome back to my blog!
Today I want to show you with photos, the method to accurately apply the nail form for the reconstruction.
Let’s start!
First I give the shape to the nail form by folding it a bit.
I then detach the form and apply the little round piece behind it.

I recommend this on not very rigid nail forms, in order to make them more resistant.
So I divide the flaps.

I measure the nail form on my fingernail and I see that it doesn’t fit well, so I get some scissors to cut it.

I advise you to use only a pair of scissors, because the glue from the papers could ruin the blades.
To make the cuts, I have to take a measurement, that is the maximum width of the sidewalls.

So I take those points as a reference and adapt the shape of the nail form to my nail.

So I check again and see that it now fits perfectly.

Then I take the same measurement on the nail form and make two lateral cuts at about 45 degrees. This will help us to tighten well to the nail form from below, obtaining a nice curve c.

So I close the flaps perfectly under the form.

This is how it should look from below, it must fit perfectly.

Finally, I check frontally if the nail form is straight, if not, I straighten it with the flaps.
Here is the nail form applied to perfection.
