Welcome back to my blog!
Today I want to show you how I made nails on the Wet on Wet technique for the first time.
Let’s begin!
What’s this
The wet on wet technique, involves the use of gel colors, one on top of the other, without curing at each step.
Doing so creates beautiful shades between the colors used.
You can draw whatever you want, but I decided to create a flower.
Base
In this case I perform the decoration on a tip, so I opacify the nail so that the color clings better.

Color
Before I start talking about colors, I want to remind you that you should NEVER cure.
I spread the colors with which I want to create the background with a brush.
At the beginning it may not succeed because in this decoration it is important to know how to dose the quantity of product used. You don’t have to put too much, not even too little.
I use black for the center of the flower and two different shades of red for the rest of the flower.
With the same brush, cleaned from the previous colors, I gently begin to shade the colors diagonally between them.

Petals
With a slightly smaller brush, I take a small amount of white.

Always gently, spread the color on the base. It is not cured, so it will mix the white with the background, creating a gradient and a semi transparency.

I continue with all the petals that I want to make.
Gradually, for the petals in the foreground, I take more product, so they can stand out more.
If I want a more transparent effect, I take less product and pull it more, if instead I want more coverage, I use more color and less shade.
Other colors
If we like, we can add some other colors to the petals.
I chose yellow, in order to give more brightness.

Outlines
Still on the uncured product, with a fine brush, I make some outlines of the petals, both with white and with black.
Dots
With a dotter, I make on the black area, the dots.
I choose to use black, white and even a little yellow, in order to recall the color on the petals.

When I am satisfied with the result then I put on the lamp and cure.
Finally I apply a top coat and the nail art is over.
Do you like the result?
Do not worry if the result is not good on the first attempts, I tried three times before getting this result.

With practice you will get good results!
